Another year is in the bag! Hopefully a wonderful time was had by all.

This year, I took a week vacation and slowly cleaned up the house and made doughs in advance.

Also – it was again online – did a google meet which unfortunately only allows about an hour group call, then kicks you out if you don’t have the premium version. All told, we needed 3 different links.

Smaller group this year, as colds and sinus issues put a number of bakers on the sideline.

And busy schedules took out others.

I was lucky in that Ose was up for a visit, and come out to bake together. She volunteered to keep an eye on the ovens.

Also brought some doughs she had made in advance.

I staged ingredients on the table, on little folding talbes, and at the kitchen counter.

Cooling racks were set up in the garage on the metal folding tables.

Plenty of metal bins to hold all the finished cookies.

Andersons (Cari, Kaitlin and Marty) were baking next door.  They stopped by at the end of the evening to trade finished cookies.

Online we had

  • ·        Kathy baking at Lori’s house with her daughter Hannah
  • ·        Cari and Kaitlin
  • ·        Chris and Astrid (with guest appearance by Eliot)
  • ·        Darcie and Neve stopped in to say hi

It was a quiet group but we had fun talking and baking together separately.

It’s always fun to see what other bakers are making. And get ideas for new recipes to try in the future.
